October 12, 2021 – Seal Beach, CA – In collaboration with OC Community Cats, a group of trap/neuter/return advocates and experts, CatPAWS wants to raise enough money to fix, vaccinate and medicate the approximately 35 cats in this horrific environment. We are working in concert with animal control to the extent possible, although the TNR and care for these cats will fall to our organizations, and also an Orange County mental health non-profit to help the owner of the property.
This is what we want to raise and how it will be used:
Per cat x 35 cats:
- Spay/neuter: $85
- Rabies shot: $20
- FVRCP: $20
- Flea treatment: $15
Sub Total: $4,900
Foster supplies, medical care, antibiotics, food etc for those kittens and cats who can be socialized, estimated to be about 10 kittens, costs per each in addition to above:
- Vaccinations: $25
- Medication such as antibiotics, dewormer, flea treatment, eye ointment: $75
- Food: $25
Sub Total $1,250
Grand Total: $6,150
If the raccoons don’t get them, parasites or disease do, or cars. Litter after doomed litter of helpless kittens, born in a filthy, overgrown backyard; this is a tragedy on a human level as well as for the cats. We have to stop the breeding, the relentless cycle of suffering and death. We have to. We cannot turn away from this pain, either of the humans involved or the cats caught in this horror. We are hoping you can’t either. Please help us save the ones we can.
P.S. – OC Community Cats will need foster homes for the kittens who can be helped and are young enough to socialize. Please see their website at https://www.occommunitycats.com/volunteer
