May 7, 2026 – Seal Beach, CA – Helen Sanders CatPAWS is inviting animal lovers, families, and supporters to celebrate one very special rescue cat at Benny’s Birthday & Love Your Pet Party on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event takes place at the Seal Beach Marina Community Center, 151 Marina Dr., Seal Beach.

Held annually in Benny’s honor, the beloved fundraiser has become a joyful community tradition celebrating resilience, compassion, and second chances for animals in need. Guests can enjoy an afternoon filled with food, games, raffles, music, vendors, prizes, and birthday cake while supporting the life-saving work of Helen Sanders CatPAWS.

Benny’s story continues to inspire animal lovers across Southern California and beyond. As a kitten, Benny survived horrific abuse and life-threatening injuries. With extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and the support of the rescue community, Benny not only survived but he thrived. Today, Benny serves as a symbol of hope, healing, and the incredible impact rescue organizations can have on vulnerable animals.

This year’s event will feature:

– Opportunities to learn more about cat rescue, fostering, and adoption

Tickets are $20 per person, which includes food, entertainment, and activities. Children 12 and under attend free.
